There are a variety of options for our haumanas (students). All students will begin in Class 1.
Programs & Tuition Fees
Registration Fee (includes Class Pareo & Class CD) $**
Monthly Class Fees, Registration and the cost of you pareo and class shirt
have been broken down as follows:
First Month with Registration Fee $50.00
Second Month with Class Pareo $60.00
Third month with Class Shirt $60.00
Students who drop and wish to re-enroll at a later time, will be assessed a $10 re-enrollment fee.
PLEASE NOTE that class times are subject to change in preparation of the Annual Holiday Show and the Annual July Recital to allow for rehearsals.
Beginners Class – Class 1 $40.00
Two 30 Minutes Classes two times per week.
Mondays & Wednesdays 6:10 – 6:40 p.m.
Studio C
For beginners of all ages; all students under age 6 will be placed in this class. All new students must go through this class to advance to Class 2. You will learn dances for knowledge and to entertain in any MacKinnon Dance Academy affiliated shows (Annual Holiday Show in December; Annual Recital in July; St. John’s School Carnival; Ventura County Fair; etc.). Students must have their own costumes and implements in order to perform.
Beginners/Intermediate Class – Class 2 $50.00
Two 40 Minute Classes two times per week.
Mondays & Wednesdays 6:10 – 6:50 p.m.
Studio C
This class consists of beginner/intermediate dancers. You must have completed Class 1. You will learn dances for knowledge and to entertain in any MacKinnon Dance Academy affiliated shows (Annual Holiday Show in December; Annual Recital in July; St. John’s School Carnival; Ventura County Fair; etc.). Students must have their own costumes and implements in order to perform. This class moves at a faster pace than Beginner Class 1.
Please note – that those students entering this class MUST make every effort to purchase all of the required implements and costumes.
Performance Class – Class 3 (by Invitation Only) $70.00
Three Classes three times per week.
Mondays 6:10 - 7:10 p.m.
Wednesdays 6:10 – 7:10 p.m. (8:10)
Studio C
Thursdays 6:10 – 7:10 p.m. (Note: this will be a two hour class if there is a performance the following weekend and is scheduled periodically!)
Studio B
Guys / Boys / Kanes / Tanes Class – Class 4 $40.00
One 60 Minute Classes per week.
Wednesdays 7:10 – 8:10 p.m.
Studio C
This class consists of beginner/intermediate dancers. You will learn dances for knowledge and to entertain in any MacKinnon Dance Academy affiliated shows (Annual Holiday Show in December; Annual Recital in July; St. John’s School Carnival; Ventura County Fair; etc.). You will also be requested to perform in both public/private performances of Kealoha & Co. Students must have their own costumes and implements in order to perform.
Island Aerobics – Class 5 $20.00
Thursdays 6:10 – 7:10 p.m.
One 1 Hour Class one time per week and is scheduled periodically.
(This class often runs 1-2 hours depending on participation!)
Studio B
Attention Dancers - IF FOR SOME REASON YOU ARE UNABLE TO ATTEND CLASSES AS SCHEDULED ABOVE BECAUSE OF A CONFLICT IN YOUR DANCE CLASS SCHEDULE AND YOU CAN ONLY ATTEND CLASS ONE DAY PER WEEK DON’T WORRY! YOU CAN STILL ATTEND CLASSES ON:
Dancers PRE-Performance Class – Class 6 $50.00
Mondays OR Wednesdays 6:00 – 7:15 p.m. Studio C
Thursdays 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. Studio B
This will allow you to also participate in and learn some of the dances the performance group is learning but you will not be a part of the performance group/class without interfering with your current dance schedule. Please note that prior approval for this class must be given by Auntie Josie.
Parents $10.00
Parents wishing to participate with their child in any class
may do so at a monthly rate of $10.
Duplicate CD / Practice Music $2.00
Replacement Class Pareo $10.00
Sibling Discounts
In lieu of offering a sibling discount, we offer a substantial discount to parents at this time by offering parents a flat rate of $10 per month to participate in class with your child.
Performance Class (Must be Enrolled in Class 2, 3 & 5)
The Performance Class is by invitation only. If you have not received an invitation to perform with the performance class and wish to do so, please submit your request via email to: KealohaAndCo@aol.com for consideration. Notices are responded to monthly. Students who participate in the performance class must be able to participate in various public and private performances throughout the year and must attend class as scheduled.
Late Tuition Payments
Tuition must be paid by the end of the first class of each month or the student will be sitting through the next class unless other arrangements have been made in advance. Late payments may also be assessed a late fee. A late fee of 15% may be added for late payments.
Returned Check Fee
All Returned checks will be assessed a fee of $25.
